Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said today that the current government’s deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be renegotiated and changed under a future Samagi Jana Balawega (SJB) government.
He said in the parliament that he will come to an agreement with the International Monetary Fund so that the people are not burdened.
The opposition leader said this while replying to a question asked by the Minister of State for Finance, Shehan Semasinghe, whether Samagi Jana Balawega needs the support of the International Monetary Fund.
