The Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, stated that a series of government-led conspiracies are underway against the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
He mentioned that the main objective of these conspiracies is to undermine the Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s position in the government, particularly during the upcoming presidential and general elections.
Despite these challenges, he affirmed their commitment to uniting all nationalist and patriotic forces to establish an anti-Pohottu and anti-UNP government in the future. He emphasized that all members are united under the leadership of President Maithripala Sirisena.
He expressed disappointment regarding opportunistic conspiracies within the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, particularly highlighting the sudden involvement of Mrs. Chandrika Kumaratunga, who had not previously been actively engaged in party discussions, claiming that she can rebuild the party.
