According to political sources, negotiations have now started for more than twenty members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna to contest the election with Samagi Jana Balavegaya in the upcoming general election. Due to this situation, it is reported that a large number of front-line activists who were expecting to contest the next general election from the S.J.B are getting frustrated.
They say that giving the candidature of Samagi Jana Balavega to the members of Podujana Peramuna is a serious injustice to them. Also, they point out that the party is at a serious disadvantage by opening up space in the SJB list for the members of a pohottuwa who are tired of the people.
