President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that he is discussing about obtaining the support of the education sector of UNESCO for the extensive modernization program to be carried out in the education sector in Sri Lanka.
The President also says that he will seek the support of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank for the related reforms.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe announced this while attending the inaugural session of the Student Parliament of Monaragala Buddharuvagala Maha Vidyalaya at the President’s Office.
Mentioning that an advanced education system integrated with modern technology including artificial intelligence (AI) will be created in the country and will give the children of this country the opportunity to move forward with the modern world, the President stated that the future leaders who will build the country will be born through these student parliaments.
