The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism has informed the relevant ministries to inquire about the agreements signed during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka News made a request under the Right to Information Act to the Information Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide information about the agreements signed during the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Sri Lanka.
Responding to the request, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed the relevant ministries to obtain the information.
However, Sri Lanka News has inquired whether the copies of these agreements are maintained in the ministry and has not given a specific answer to it. Regarding the failure to provide such a specific answer, Sri Lanka News has filed an appeal under the Right to Information Act to the designated officer.

Cabinet Media Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa stated that information regarding agreements signed during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Sri Lanka has been requested under the Freedom of Information Act and accordingly these requests for information have been submitted.
