Jathika Jana Balawegaya MP and former Speaker Ashoka Ranwala, who was arrested by the police, has been released by the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court on a cash bail of Rs. 200,000.
He was arrested while receiving treatment at the National Hospital following a road accident that occurred in the Sapugaskanda area yesterday. Three people are hospitalized after the jeep he was driving collided with a car and a motorcycle driven by a woman. Among them, the condition of the child is critical, his father had told the media.
