President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited Yala National Park today (19) with American Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung and Tourism Minister Harin Fernando . The President focused on preparing a system to get tickets online for tourists to quickly enter the Yala National Park.
The Prasident was shocked about the condition of wild animals due to the dry weather and the drying up of water bodies in the surrounding area. President Ranil Wickremesinghe who appreciated the efforts of the park’s employees to provide water to the wild animals in the face of the current situation,.He also participated in a program to release water to the waterholes that have dried up.
The President spent a lot of time in the Yala National Park . American Ambassador and Minister Harin Fernando were also seen staying with him. Minister Harin Fernando, who recently underwent a foot surgery, attended the visit wearing shorts. The President and the American Ambassador were also seen wearing casual clothes on the trip.
This trip confirmed that the rumor that there is a disagreement between Minister Harin and President Ranil Wickremesinghe is false.
