Ranil gets involved in Keheliya’s case.

Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and several former cabinet ministers have been named as witnesses in the case filed against former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella in connection with the purchase of substandard antibody vaccines.

In addition, it is reported that nearly 350 other people have been named as witnesses in the case.

Accordingly, in addition to the former President, former ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, Douglas Devananda, and Roshan Ranasinghe are also scheduled to be called for testimony.

In addition, a group of doctors including the Chairman of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority, Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama, are also scheduled to give testimony.

The Attorney General filed indictments against 12 defendants, including former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, before the Colombo Permanent Three-Judge High Court today (26) in connection with the incident of purchasing substandard antibody vaccines.

The Attorney General had previously submitted a request to the Chief Justice to designate a three-judge bench of the High Court to hear the case, considering it a case of public importance.
