Ranil challenges Anura to tell how to develop exports without free trade agreements

President Ranil Wickramasinghe said that he told Anura Kumara Dissanayake to apologize for threatening the people of the North, but he has not yet responded.

“I heard that he has responded to my statement I made in Jaffna. I also heard that he is sick. I wish him a speedy recovery. Sunil Handunetti said that an NPP government would create export processing zones and promote exports.

But Anura’s manifesto says that an NPP government will cancel the free trade agreements that Sri Lanka has already entered into. How to develop exports without free trade agreements? Anura should answer this question,” President Ranil Wickramasinghe said.

He said this while addressing an election rally held in Welimada today.
