Railway technicians and railway technician assistants have planned to begin a symbolic strike from this morning (26) over an overtime issue.
Accordingly, the strike will be implemented for 24 hours from 7.00 this morning, said Sri Lanka Podujana Railway Employees Union Secretary Nadeera Manoj. He further stated that although the authorities have been informed about their problem, no solution has been found so far.
