Prostitution is a twenty-four-hour job – Diana Gamage

State Minister of Tourism Diana Gamage said that although some people think that nightlife is prostitution, it is different from that. Addressing the Parliament, she said that there is really no time for prostitution and if necessary, one can engage in that profession 24 hours a day.

She said that if a country in the world is to develop, there should be a night economy and 70% of the income of any country comes from the night economy. She further mentioned that England’s night time economy alone earns £66 billion. She emphasized that no matter what anyone says, a country that closes at 10 pm will never develop.
