President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that proposals related to a fair basic salary increase for public servants and ending salary discrepancies for pensioners within three years will be presented in this year’s budget.
He said this at the Anuradhapura District Coordination Committee meeting held at the Anuradhapura District Secretariat today (26).
He also mentioned that the government’s attention has been focused on allocating funds for the urgent recruitment of about 30,000 essential vacancies that have been created in the public service.
The President’s attention was drawn to a number of sectors in the Anuradhapura district, including education, health, irrigation, agriculture, and wild elephant issues.
