President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to visit Germany on June 10.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath confirmed this at a media briefing held today (23).
He stressed that the possibility of bringing more German tourists to the country will be considered during this visit to promote Sri Lanka’s tourism sector. Minister Vijitha Herath, who spoke further, said:
“Before our tourism sector collapsed, European tourists including Germans came to us. Today, it has decreased. We hope to increase the number of German tourists coming to Sri Lanka, what can we do as two countries.
We should aim to increase the number of high-end tourists as well as increase the number of people.”
