According to our airport reporter, President Ranil Wickremesinghe departed for his visit to Britain and France this morning (17th). The President chose to travel on an Emirates flight and has not utilized a Sri Lankan flight for any of his foreign trips since assuming office as President.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been invited by French President Emmanuel Macron to participate in the conference for a new global financial agreement, which will take place in Paris, France on June 22nd and 23rd.
During the President’s visit to France, there are also planned meetings with the members of the Paris Club, consisting of creditor countries.
