Political sources say that since President Ranil Wickremesinghe does not give ministerial positions to his party’s senior members, the Podujana Peramuna should sit in the opposition in Parliament.
In the report, the group says that for the future success of Podujana Peramuna, such a decision should be taken and Namal Rajapaksa appointed as an opposition leader.
However, it is reported that it is not possible to make a final decision on the said proposal to sit down in opposition as another group pointed out that if the Podujana Peramuna take such action, President Ranil Wickremesinghe will definitely dissolve the parliament.
