Former State Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan says that the negligence of government officials at the time contributed to the Easter Sunday attacks.
He made this statement when he appeared at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to give a statement in connection with the investigation into the British media Channel 4 documentary on the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
“This is political vendetta. That is why I was summoned even though I was not involved in the attacks. Why is the CID not recording statements from officials like Ravi Seneviratne and Shani Abeysekara?” he asked.
