Jathika Jana Balawegaya MP Nilanthi Kottahachchi says that it is the democratic right of the people to convince others that something is true as false and something is false as true.
Participating in a function held in Kalutara, she said that the people also have the right to see the negative side of the good things the government does and that the government will never interfere with that democratic right.
“You have the full right to convince anyone that anything is true as a lie and any lie as truth. That is your democratic right. You have the right to see the negative side when the government does something good.” She said.
She said that Jathika Jana Balawegaya party members never lied during the election campaign to bring Anura Kumara Dissanayake to the presidency and that they did not want to do so either.
