Opportunity for opposition politicians from President to meet IMF representatives

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has given an opportunity to the leaders of the recognized political parties to discuss the proposals presented by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with its high level representatives.

The Presidential Media Division (PMD) issued a statement saying that opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, National People’s Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader S. Siddharthan have been invited for this crucial meeting.

An open invitation has been extended to people interested in this matter to join the invited leaders, the announcement says . This meeting is scheduled to be held at the Presidential Secretariat on Monday, the 11th.

Ministers of State for Finance Shehan Semasinghe and Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Presidential Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff Sagala Ratnayake, Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake, Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Treasury and Finance Ministry Secretary K.M. Mr. Mahinda Siriwardena and President’s Senior Adviser on Economic Affairs Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga is going to participate in this discussion.
