One person has been reported dead in a shooting incident that took place in the Idamthota area of Ambalangoda Police Division.
The person who was seriously injured in the shooting was reported dead when he was admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital for treatment.
The shooter is a 45-year-old resident of Idamthota, Ambalangoda. The reason for the shooting has not been revealed.
