One person has reportedly died in an accident at the Orugodawatte Grayline 1 container yard.
A worker working at the terminal has died after being crushed by a large crane weighing about 45 metric tons that was running on the premises.
CCTV cameras at the container yard show the man hitting the large rear wheel of a PPM Top Lift 45MT container forklift crane, falling to the ground, being crushed by the wheel and dying on the spot.
It has been revealed that the deceased in the incident is a 50-year-old worker who worked at the container yard.
