An official has taken responsibility for including a link to a gay website in a Grade 6 English module under new education reforms.
Speaking to the BBC, National Institute of Education Director General Professor Manjula Vidanapathirana said she should take responsibility for not checking the website name when it was included.
“I think I should take responsibility for not checking the name when we put it in so that we can say that the NIE should have checked the use of that name in that activity,” she told the BBC.
