Considering the prevailing disaster situation across the country and the upcoming festive season, the government has announced that it has taken steps to provide a nutritional allowance of Rs. 5,000 to pregnant mothers.
This one-time allowance is scheduled to be given to pregnant mothers who registered at maternity clinics on or before November 30, 2025.
This amount is scheduled to be distributed through the Divisional Secretariats from December 16, according to the report.
