Currently, 43,553 nurses are engaged in the health service in the country, said the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa. Although that number is 30% of the total health staff, he further said that the number of nurses required for the health service has not yet been completed.
Minister Nalinda Jayatissa made this statement while participating in a ceremony held at Temple Trees today (14) to recruit 2918 students for student nursing training.
