The group supported by the National People’s Power has suffered a major defeat in the election held to elect officers to the Anuradhapura District Cooperative Board.
The group supported by the Joint Opposition has won the election. That group has won all 13 seats and accordingly, all the positions in the Anuradhapura District Cooperative Board will be held by that group.
