The National People’s Power (NPP) has officially informed the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) yesterday that the proposed debate between NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa is ready to be held on one of May 7, 9, 13, 14.
NPP executive committee member Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has mentioned this in a letter sent to SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara yesterday afternoon. It is reported that he mentioned in that letter that if the date is not fixed for the debate, there may be misunderstandings among the people.
The letter requested them to inform immediately if they do not agree to the debate on those dates.
