No web links to modules.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya says that it has been decided not to include web links to any grade in the preparation of the modules for the second and third school terms.

Speaking in Parliament today (09), she said that the Academic Affairs Board of the National Institute of Education had taken this decision.

The Prime Minister said that the Task Force for Digital Transformation in Education has conducted a study on the child protection aspect of digital use and has prepared a policy and guidelines for it, and that it will be presented to the Academic Council of the National Institute of Education in the future.

Stating that the institution will not receive any financial benefits from this education reform, the Prime Minister said that about 92% of the teachers in the primary grades have already been provided with training related to the new reforms. She said that due to the disaster situation in recent months, it was not possible to provide the training to teachers in some provinces as planned.

Accordingly, she said that she hopes to carry out the work before the start of the school term for those teachers in grades one and six.
