The Government Medical Officers Association says that it will intensify its continuous industrial action from 8 am today (02). Accordingly, the continuous industrial action that will begin today will be implemented in the following manner.
Stop issuing prescriptions to patients to obtain medicines and equipment that are not available in the hospital.
Stop issuing prescriptions to patients to obtain laboratory tests that are not available in the hospital.
Withdraw from voluntarily participating in health camps and clinics organized by political groups.
Stop assigning doctors to new hospital wards and units opened in the hospital system without the approved number of doctors.
Withdraw from examining patients without adequate facilities and support staff to protect the safety and privacy of patients.
As well as specialist doctors providing specialist services only in the hospital to which they are attached and withdrawing from covering duties for services in hospitals where there are no specialist doctors outside. They are preparing to embark on professional actions such as.
Based on several demands, the Government Medical Officers’ Association had started this continuous professional action covering the entire hospital system on the 26th.
The Central Committee of the Government Medical Officers’ Association, which met on the 26th, decided to give the Minister of Health 48 hours to come up with a positive solution to their problems and announce it.
However, the Ministry of Health has been unable to present positive solutions to the relevant demands, and therefore, the Executive Committee of the Association, which met on the 31st, has decided to intensify the professional action from today and continue it continuously.
