Ceylon Teachers’ Union General Secretary Joseph Stalin says that Women and Child Affairs Minister Saroja Savitri Paul Raj, who claims that the parents concerned did not come to her regarding the Kotahena girl’s death, is arrogant.
Addressing a media briefing held today (09), he stated that there is no need to go to meet anyone and that it is sufficient to complain to one place in case of a problem related to children. He also said that the complaint in this regard was made to the Judicial Medical Officer.
Joseph Stalin, stating that the complaint should have been filed by the principal of the school in question, said that she did not do so and that what she did was to try to hide the incident.
He said that when he met the Director General of Presidential Public Relations yesterday (08), he pointed out to them that the accused person was a candidate and organizer of the National People’s Force.
Joseph Stalin further stated that the Director General assured him that there would be no political interference.
