The Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says that Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will be established as a separate entity owned by the government under the restructuring plan.
He makes a note in his X account and says that the refinery owned by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is being established to attract investments needed to increase fuel quality, efficiency, capacity and cost reduction.
Meanwhile, the currently approved staff and salary structure of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will also be revised and digital platforms will be introduced for multiple functions and services, he said.
