The Ministry of Power and Energy has instructed Lanka Petroleum Corporation (CPC), Lanka IOC and Sinopec to ensure continuous supply of fuel during the festive season.
Moreover, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has informed all petrol stations to always maintain their fuel stocks at a level of 50 percent.
The Minister has given these instructions as there may be an unexpected demand for petroleum due to the long weekend, school holidays and the beginning of the Sri Pada Vandana season due to the large number of people going on picnics etc.
