The All Ceylon Restaurant Owners Association has decided to increase the price of a cup of tea by Rs. 10 with effect from tonight. The association says this step was taken after milk powder importers recently increased the maximum retail price of a 400 gram packet of milk powder by Rs. 50.
Along with the increase in milk powder price, they say that the prices of all milk-based beverages, including milk tea, will also be increased by Rs. 10 from tonight.
