Member of Parliament Uddika Premaratne has forwarded her resignation letter to the Speaker today (27).
A popular actor, he was elected as a member of the National Freedom Front in the last general election from Poduj Peramuna from Anuradhapura district.
He has stated in his resignation letter that although he came to the parliament with the hope that the government at that time would bring about some positive change in the country, he took this decision considering the events that happened in the past and the prevailing situation in a way that disappointed everyone.
