Malima stands up for Shavendra

Member of Parliament Anura Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Force, says that he has appreciation for the then Army Commander Shavendra Silva for not ordering the army to shoot to quell the people’s struggle that broke out last year.

He said that investigations are currently being conducted against the former army commander, but he will be released from the charge under his soon-to-be-formed government.

He said this in a radio interview.
