Former President Maithripala Sirisena has been summoned before the Criminal Investigation Department tomorrow (25).
He said that he knows who carried out the Easter attack in Kandy recently and he has been summoned before the Criminal Investigation Department to record a statement about it, according to the report.
Public Security Minister Mr. Tiran Alas yesterday ordered the Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon to conduct an immediate investigation regarding the statement made by the former President. According to that order, the Inspector General of Police ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to start an investigation regarding the revelation of the former President.
However, while addressing the media yesterday, former President said that he was only ready to make a confidential statement in front of a court judge.
