The owners of the team have made arrangements to appoint former Sri Lankan cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene as the head coach of the Mumbai Indians team in the coming year of 2025 in the IPL tournament.
Former South African wicket keeper and batsman Mark Boucher acted as the head coach of the Mumbai team.
However, during his tenure of two years, the Mumbai Indians team had not been able to show significant performance. The Mumbai team was able to win the championship on all three occasions during the period from 2017-2022 when Mahela Jayawardena was the head coach.
