National People’s Power MP Nilanthi Kottahachchi has been instructed to refrain from issuing statements to the media. When journalists asked her a question during the Clean Sri Lanka program held in the Keselwatte Gimphatha area, she said:
‘I am sorry.. I cannot express any opinion to the media as I have been instructed by the party not to speak to the media..’
This step has been taken following her recent controversial statements to the media. Not only her, but a large number of newly elected MPs of the National People’s Power have been continuously avoiding the media.
