Kehelbaddara Padme and his group are being brought to Sri Lanka.

The plane carrying Kehelbaddara Padme, a criminal gang member arrested in Jakarta, Indonesia, and his group arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 7.30 pm.

Currently, tight security has been deployed inside and outside the Katunayake Airport and a group of high-ranking officers of the Police Special Task Force and the Criminal Investigation Department, including the Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala, Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya, the Police Media Spokesperson, have also arrived at the Katunayake Airport to observe the event.

The arrest was carried out by the two officers, Assistant Superintendent of Police in charge of the Western North Crime Division, Rohan Olugala, and Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahinda Jayasundara of the Criminal Investigation Department, with the participation of a special police team from Indonesia.
