Joint helth Appointments Stopped by Court Order

The Court of Appeal has issued an interim order preventing the granting of medical laboratory physiotherapyist in the joint helth sector.

The petition is scheduled to be heard again on June 11th and the court has also ordered that the status quo regarding the granting of these appointments be maintained until that date.

The Court of Appeal has given this decision after considering a writ petition filed by 270 graduates who are aggrieved by the granting of these appointments. The order was issued today (27) by the Acting Chairman of the Court of Appeal, Mohamed Lafar Tahir, and Priyantha Fernando, a bench of Court of Appeal judges.
