Johnston bailed. He is not involved in the BMW theft. The police will tell the court

Former Minister Johnston Fernando, who was remanded in custody, has been released today by the Fort Magistrate Court on five personal bails of 50 lakhs each.

He was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department on allegations that he used an unregistered luxury car assembled in Sri Lanka.

The police said in the court that it has been revealed that the former minister had nothing to do with the theft of BMW car from England.
