The Ministry of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development has informed that the Honorable Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development, Member of Parliament Jeevan Thondaman has been selected as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum.
As this is the first time in the history of Sri Lanka that a minister is being recognized as a Young Global Leader (YGL), the selection of Minister Jeevan Thondaman as a Young Global Leader (YGL) is a unique opportunity.
Mr. Thondaman, who became a minister last year, has led reforms in the water supply sector to improve the quality of life of historically marginalized communities, advocate for social justice and ensure access to safe and affordable drinking water for all Sri Lankans. Led several targeted initiatives.
