International Vocational Training College, the leading institution in Sri Lanka that trains women workers going abroad as domestic helpers, celebrates its second anniversary in a grand manner
The second anniversary ceremony of International Vocational Training College, the leading institution in Sri Lanka that trains workers going abroad as domestic helpers, was held recently under the patronage of the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau, Mr. Kosala Wickramasinghe, with the participation of the Deputy General Manager (Training) of the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau, Mr. Sajith Chaminda, and the owners of licensed foreign employment agencies.
For a period of two years, International Vocational Training College, the leading institution that trains women workers going abroad as domestic helpers, has so far trained more than five thousand workers and awarded NVQ certificates. The contribution made to sending skilled workers abroad was appreciated by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.
Seven winners were selected by drawing Coupon from among the owners of foreign employment agencies who participated in the anniversary celebration and necessary steps were also taken to provide free training to the workers going abroad through them.
In appreciation of the work being done by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, Hon. Kosala Wickramasinghe, for the promotion of the foreign employment sector, a special memento was presented to the Chairman by the Director of the International Vocational Training College, Mr. Chandana Jayasundara.
Special appreciation certificates were also presented by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment to the female teachers providing training at the International Vocational Training College.
