The Israeli government has informed the Israeli nationals staying in Arugambe and Sri Lanka’s coastal tourist areas to leave those places immediately. The National Security Council of Israel has made this special notification.
The agency has informed that there is a risk of terrorist attacks targeting tourist areas and coastal areas. Arugam Bay is a popular tourist destination for Israelis and it is reported that there are even separate restaurants for them.
Police have stepped up security in Arugambe area.
