Iran’s Foreign Ministry has issued an official announcement stating that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdul Raheen died in a helicopter accident. Quoting a senior official of the Iranian government, foreign media reports that the helicopter in which the president was traveling was completely burnt down.
The plane crash took place in a mountainous area of Iran and it is said that the plane may have crashed due to heavy fog.
The search teams have found the place where the plane in which the President was traveling crashed.
