In relation to the assessment year 2023/2024, the Inland Revenue Department has decided to go to the premises of people who have not yet paid taxes and start a tax collection program, Inland Revenue Commissioner General Sepalika Chandrasekara states.
As of September 30 of this year, the Inland Revenue Department has collected an amount of 1417 billion rupees as tax, which is more than 70 percent of the revenue target for the year 2024 of 2024 billion rupees.
The proposed new work order is scheduled to start from tomorrow.
