A 24-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a car accident yesterday (14) near Mahiyangana Rajamaha Vihara on the Mahiyangana-Badulla main road has died today.
Four people in the three-wheeler were seriously injured and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Mahiyangana General Hospital in an accident that occurred when a luxury car that was driving at high speed collided with the back of a three-wheeler parked on the road.
An unmarried girl named W.M. Himanshi Sevwandi, a resident of Uraniya area, 12th post, Ridhimaliyadda, has lost her life in this accident.The condition of the other three injured in the accident is also reported to be serious.
Police said the driver of the car that caused the accident has been arrested.
