It is reported that a discussion will be held today between the representatives of the International Monetary Fund and the officials of the Bank of Sri Lanka. After that discussion, the representatives are also scheduled to meet the President and the new government ministers.
After this visit, the fourth tranche of the International Monetary Fund’s Extended Credit Facility will be released to Sri Lanka.
The International Monetary Fund is going to release a loan of 2.9 billion US dollars to Sri Lanka under the four-year extended credit facility, and three installments have been given to Sri Lanka before.
