Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe said today in Parliament that he could be killed today or tomorrow and if so, the executive should take responsibility.
In his statement, the minister also pointed a finger at Presidential Adviser Sagala Ratnayake. “Who is Sagala?
Rathnayake.. Sagala is given a motorcade to ensure his safety. But I will not be given any protection as a cabinet minister,” he said
The Minister also said that Namal Rajapaksa MP has warned that his life is in danger. “Member Namal told me to be careful because President Wickremesinghe is like a snake and will take revenge on me soon.”
However, Namal Rajapaksa MP who rejected the statement said that MPs should not be allowed to use parliamentary privileges to say such things. Responding to that, the minister said that the message was sent to him by the Rajapaksa MP through a third party.
“President Ranil Wickremesinghe accused me of insulting the judiciary. But I was only talking about one judicial officer. Then a team was sent to raid all my companies. I have been accused of assembling vehicles. If anyone wants to do inspections, I am ready to hand over the keys to my factories.

He said that information is being revealed regarding an allegation that Sri Lanka Cricket has spent Rs 100 crore and 234 million has been spent to buy an LED screen estimated at Rs 9.7 million.
“The issue related to cricket will be resolved after the next presidential election,” he said, adding that it cannot be resolved in haste.
