ICC suspends payments to Sri Lankan players until the ban is ends.

The International Cricket Federation has decided to withhold the amount of US$ 180,000 (Sri Lanka Rupees 6 crores) due to the Sri Lankan players who participated in the World Cup cricket tournament until the international cricket ban imposed on Sri Lanka is over.

In the preliminary round of the World Cup cricket tournament, Sri Lanka was awarded $80,000 out of $40,000 for winning the two matches against the Netherlands and England, and the amount of $100,000 awarded to each team that leaves the preliminary round of the tournament is also added to this amount. 180,000 was supposed to be received by Sri Lanka players.

However, the International Cricket Council is going to release this amount as soon as the ban imposed on Sri Lanka ends.
