The International Cricket Council has fined Sri Lanka captain Chamari Atapattu 10% of her match fee.
She was found guilty of breaching Level 1 of the Code of Conduct during the match against South Africa in Colombo. One demerit mark has been added to Chamari Atapattu’s disciplinary record.
After a South African player hit a four, Chamari Atapattu took off her sunglasses and threw them on the ground, breaking them into several pieces.
The incident occurred during the Servo Cup One-Day International tournament, which was held last weekend and featured Sri Lanka, India and South Africa.
