Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe says that he knows the reason why lawyers do not object to the tax on earnings imposed by the government.
The Governor of the Central Bank said that professionals such as bankers, doctors and engineers oppose the payment tax when they earn because they cannot hide their income, adding that lawyers do not oppose it because they know how to avoid taxes. The Governor of the Central Bank further praised that because the lawyers do not declare the income received from the clients, So that the tax when they earn is not a big issue for them.
